Fiona Mossman (she/her) is a writer who grew up next to the Cairngorm mountains in the highlands of Scotland and now lurks near the sea in Burntisland. She adores short stories, folklore, philosophy, and kindness. She has studied literature and book history and works as a librarian in Edinburgh. She likes to find herself up mountains, in forests, or at home with her cat, usually with a good book close by.
Her fiction is primarily speculative, lyrical, and short, often inspired by fables and myths. Occasionally she’s enticed to play with poetry and other forms. In all modes her writing centres on strange worlds, exciting ideas, and human (or more-than-human) connections.
